Rider of the Day

Andy!

Andy was chosen for one simple reason, favoritism. You see, when Andy isn't at his full time job as a Theatre Orderly (that is the surgical theatre, like an operating room, not an acting theatre like a stage-hand or usher.), he is teaching urban riding skills with BikeWise, a group of folks with whom I am trying to become associated with. Now, when I showed up this morning to partake in one of their classes, I happened to notice a familiar decal on his bike.

For that reason alone (and the fact that my Minneapolis affiliate has completely dropped the ball on the ROTD, AND the last ROTD has been there for almost a month) I have chosen Andy as the Rider of The Day. The Minneapolis based bike culture icon Cars-R-Coffins, holds a special place in my heart for two reasons. The first being the CRC ringleader Hurl, is one of my all time fave's, and the second being, that the CRC Cafe was one of the original sponsors of the now damn near defunct Minneapolis ROTD program.

Enough about that for now, lets hear what Andy had to say when I tossed a few questions his way, shall we.

Co2W: How many bikes do you own?

Andy: Seven

Co2W: Cats or dogs?

Andy: Dog, Charley

Co2W: Do you own a car?

Andy: Yes, but I believe cars should only be used to carry you out of the city, to places to ride your bikes. (aka Mountain Biking?)

As you can see our interview was brief, and Andy did not walk away with a prize, but I told him that I would rattle the cage of the powers that be at CRC HQ and see if we couldn't come up with an extra MD sized T-shirt in that long awaited care package to The Church.
