This past weekend the 28th annual Fat Tire Tour of Milwaukee took place through "the underbelly of Milwaukee". Now, a few years back the bike fairies gave me their blessings and once again allowed me to borrow a Pugsley from their collection of demo bikes to ride for the tour. The following year found BP, T-Buck and I all showed up on em', the result being a ton of heads turning, and a lot of enthusiastic comments. After a two year sabbatical from the tour, I returned to an unprecedented growth in the actual "fat bike" population amongst the FTTM. Upon my arrival at the start this year, I was instantly amazed at the number of "fatties" in attendance. Shall we...

The start at the old Pabst brewery.

Fat.

Fat, fat.

Fat.

You gotta love the matching handbag! Is that a new Surly product? Wouldn't surprise me considering all the skirts being worn in Bloomington these days...

Custom fat..

Fat and fatter.

Yup.

More fat.

Jailbreak at the fat farm!!

More fat.

Fat Fun!

The roll-out...

Seeing as the theme of this years event was based on the TV show Office Space, there was a copier/printer smashing event.

As usual, the were a number of creative rigs again. Some prettier.....

than others!

It's not all about beers and bikes (well mostly), there are also many cultural stops on the route, like the Holler House.

All two of em'!

And the upstairs.... so much for culture as we know it.
Just across the road from the Holler is a cemetery, to which a few of us made a brief jaunt to visit the graves of the "Three Kings".

Blatz.

Schlitz.

And Pabst.
Well then, onto Lakefront Brewery and points beyond!
One of the last stops a shitty little hidden bar where you will always find one type of victim or another.
"Hey, Dirty!!"

Our host Pee Oui, throwing one up for the H-Woods that couldn't be there.

The chicken bell.

And finally some of my favorite people of the day, (from right to left) the lovely Miss Boxill, my man Dale, and the best dressed for the day on the left, some young lady whose name I neglected to catch, but if anyone knows who she is, let me know, because I want to meet her again!!
Remarkably, this was one of the first years I made home before sunset and blood free, but not before some bush-whacking and re-con, for the next days activities.

Sunday came quickly and so did my man Colin, for a bit of braapin' on the beach.

Fun, fun, fun was had by all.
Some more than the other.

Overall, a Braaaptacular weekend in Milwaukee!!
